Research Presentations

Uta Mohring, Prof. Dr. (Operations Management, UZH) Smarter Shared Mobility: Optimizing Efficiency and Sustainability in On-Demand Transportation Uta will offer a broader perspective on urban mobility from operations management, touching on both the general landscape of the discipline and her own past and current research interests.

Qi Ying, PhD Candidate (UZH Department of Geography) Do mobile maps help or hinder? Investigating their role in spatial knowledge acquisition across repeated navigation episodes Qi will present her research exploring how repeated use of mobile maps during navigation affects our ability to build spatial knowledge. Do they support or undermine our sense of place over time?

• Grant Café — Tumasch Reichenbacher will share updates and plans for the next edition of our Grant Café workshop series.
• DSI Mobility Connect — Donatella Zingaro will provide updates on the next edition of Mobility Connect in Fall Semester 2026.
• Innovathon 2026 — Anja Schulze will share the latest updates on the UZH Innovathon 2026.
