On 12 October 2021, from 15:00-16:30 CEST, DSI members Prof. Davide Scaramuzza and Dr. Ning Wang will give talks at the “Modern Technologies in Disaster Management Webinar Series – Drones in Disaster Management”. Registration is open here.
The event is organized by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP). The webinar series focuses on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Drones and Internet of Things (IoT), used for the purposes of disaster risk prevention, reduction and response.
DSI members will contribute to the panel discussion on the topics of “Foldable Drones in Search & Rescue”, as well as “Ethical Implications of the Humanitarian Use of Drones“.
