Phares Akari
Phares Akari is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Mobility and Digital Innovation Management at the University of Zurich. He earned his doctoral degree in Business and Economics from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
His research centers on corporate strategy, the economics of innovation, and technology commercialization. He examines strategic decision-making under uncertainty, with a particular focus on market entry and exit in R&D, competition, and how firms dynamically adapt their R&D portfolios in response to new market information. His work is primarily quantitative, applying modern econometric methods to real-world data.
In addition to his research, he has teaching experience in corporate and competitive strategy at the MBA, EMBA, and Executive Education levels.
