Svantje Tauber is a biologist and researcher associate in the "Cell Biology - Gravitational Biology and Biomechanics" group of Prof. Oliver Ullrich at the institute of anatomy at the University of Zurich. Her research-focus is the reaction of human cells to altered gravity, tackled by exposing isolated human cells to altered gravity conditions e.g. on parabolic flights or on the International Space Station. Svantje is also working for the UZH Space Hub, the innovation cluster "Space and Aviation" of the UZH Innovation Hub. Here she is point of contact for Space Life Science projects and member of the core team that aims to link fundamental UZH research with applied science and industry to foster innovations for the benefit of society and economy.
