Dr.
Armand Kapaj
Armand Kapaj is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Geographic Information Visualization and Analysis (GIVA) research group in the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich. His research interests include mobile map design, spatial navigation, and spatial cognition. Specifically, he is interested in how humans make navigation decisions using mobile maps in our spatially enabled society and how these maps influence wayfinders' visual attention, spatial learning, and cognitive states during aided navigation tasks. His research aims to develop and design mobile maps that guide wayfinders' visual attention to task-relevant information on the map and in the environment to enhance their spatial learning of the traversed environment and mitigate the cognitive load of navigation tasks.
